Outputs
The robotics curriculum developed by the RoboCode project enables teacher training institutions to widen their curriculum offerings, so that STEM educators can easily incorporate coding and robotics into their classroom. The curriculum provides 3 specialised units as well:
- For Science teachers
- For IT teachers
- For Maths teachers
Robotics and Coding Competency Framework
The Robotics and Coding Competency Framework (RCCF) sets out and defines each individual competency (such as problem-solving or developing scientific process skills) learners will develop or enhance after successfully completing the course.
Output 4 – Self-Assessment tool – was developed to measure the competence levels (knowledge, skills and competencies) and the discipline-specific pedagogies of the STEAM teachers in a framework, which is specified in Output 2 (knowledge and competency framework). While producing this tool, we made use of semi-structured interviews, observation protocols and questionnaires.
In addition, this tool can be used to measure users pre-knowledge level as well as to determine their post-project development levels. This output is integrated into the RoboCode course.
E-learning platform for RoboCode
This output is one of the most important one because the E-Learning Platform is an environment which includes most of the outputs of the project such as the curriculum (IO1), competency framework (IO2), learning materials (IO3), self-assessment tool (IO4) and the user guide of the e-learning platform.
